"Grandpa's Jokester Grin: A Photoshoot to Remember"

It was a few weeks before Christmas, and my grandpa asked me what I wanted for a gift. I told him that the only gift I wanted was for him to let me take some portraits of him. With a chuckle, he said "ok hehe that's all then huh?"

My grandpa is always on the move and it's hard to catch him holding still for more than a minute. But I finally got the chance to cash in on my Christmas gift and he, without hesitation, delivered on his promise.

For those who know my grandpa, you know that he's a big jokester. As I set up for the shoot and told him to stand in place for the photo, he quickly replied "for how long!? hehe." He then suggested we include his lawn mower in the photo. Once we positioned the lawn mower I snapped one photo and he said, "there! yup! done!"- with his hehe's. I told him no no no I need a good 20 minutes to get some good photos. "Ooh geeeez its gonna be dark before you get done with all that clickety clack clicking clickety clicks," he said with a big ole grin. I quickly snapped the photo and caught that jokester Grandpa grin as you can see in the photo below.

This same playful bantering went on for a good 30 to 40 minutes. This allowed me to freeze many genuine moments in time of my Grandpa. I truly cherish these photos and believe they capture his essence wonderfully. They are my favorite photos to date.

It was a fun shoot that lasted for about 30-40 minutes. I was able to freeze many genuine moments in time of my grandpa and these photos are now my favorite to date. They capture his essence wonderfully and I truly cherish them.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to my Grandpa Frisbie for his gift. It means more to me than he can imagine. These photos are more than just pictures, they are memories frozen in time that I will treasure forever.
